I have just finished a wonderful project with the most brilliant customers, here is her review;
It’s so much more fun coming downstairs these days to be greeted by this glimmering mural. Jon & I needed a boost to celebrate my survival through anal cancer treatment in 2025. Additionally I was overwhelmed by things that had piled up and feeling like I needed an escape or to downsize. Jon persuaded me to stay and promised that we could make progress with refurbishing and refreshing our home if we employed some help. The hallway felt more manageable than the kitchen so we started there clearing out furniture and old books and curtains. It felt airier but our lodger Sergei commented it still felt still like a hospital. I knew what he meant. Our friend John came and painted the walls and encouraged me to be bold in my choices. Then Emma came into the garden with me for inspiration. She listened to the songs and stories I shared and was so kind and patient during our exchange of ideas. I knew I wanted a rather huge golden circle (sun/moon). This tree of life was the collaborative result and embraces our connections as part of the natural world, like a family tree that acknowledges all beings and life itself.
The atmosphere of this space is transformed with a hint of whimsy and forest friends. There are still some more things to finish before I feel the room is complete but I won’t delay sharing the space with friends.
My dream is for it to be pulsing with music, poetry & smiles.
